because people buy it as a default game console. exclusives aren't that important to the people who buy these consoles. Out of the 80 million games sold on the PS5 last quarter, only 6.3 million were first party titles. Average person probably just buys some shooter (COD, Battlefield), some AAA (Assassin's Creed, MHWi etc) and calls it a day. they don't care about whether you can play the game on PC for better.
