I've been interested in Ham Radio for over a year now. I really like the tech behind it and how everything works, but never applied for the license and never bought a ham radio as well. Recently I'm really tempted to apply for the license, but upon further research, I think it's not what I want. When you are licensed in ham radio, your info is open for everyone else to see. My name and address are my main concerns. So I think I won't apply for the license. There's stuff like encrypted DMR that I can use to communicate whilst staying anonymous. As long as I respect the rules and regulations and don't contact the global ham user, I think there's no need to apply for ham radio license. Just my 2 cents.
