Is the hate for the combat system specifically in this game overblown? I feel like it was hated on at the time, and since then it became a meme or "cool to hate" just because of the reaction then. In the same vein as people who praise FFVII as one of the best games ever, just because it's the popular opinion. I really enjoy XIII's combat system. Outside the of the trilogy there's nothing else like it and I wish there was.
