Shadows of the erdtree has new areas and equipment you can keep. You can journey at your own pace and build your character the way you want to. The bosses are the worst part of the game so the less focus they get the better.
I can't imagine playing elden ring and thinking "man, I wish there was a time limit, I wish I had to play restricted characters with their own builds, I wish I had to rush everything and hold the sprint button down permanently, I wish everything I got was temporary."
It's fucking insane to me that anyone can enjoy Nightreign. It offers nothing for me.
