using AI to "create art" is like drawing with tracing paper.
It doesn't take skill, or creativity, or talent, and is the exact reasons why people like to use AI to make art. It lowers the barrier to entry to creating "art." Hate it or like it, but this reason only affects the singular individual person using AI.
The reason why AI is bad for all art in general, is because AI art can't exist without real artists creating new content to feed into the AI. If AI art becomes so easy to use and so popular that regular traditional art vanishes completely, then in the future all art may be AI generated. When an AI trains off data that is created by an AI it poisons the AI model. It's a bit like incest that way. This doesn't just apply to art, but to all AI generated content. This is the very reason why AI is so much worse now than it was in the past, and AI will continue to get worse and worse. At some point AI may replace humans for all activities, but AI will still need humans to create fresh new ideas to feed into it to sustain it and keep it alive.
in short, AI is self defeating and cannot sustain itself without a steady stream of human generated content. In the future we may all become slaves to the AI overlords producing this new content at wage/slave labor.

AI has never once "made art" despite the numerous imitations it has made based off the works of other real artists. AI is truly only capable of copying other and will never create anything that is original or novel.
