Since that guy went on a weird Reddit meltdown against someone who wasn't even the person he started the conversation with, I'll just post the ideas I had for item nerfs. Some of these might not be good, so I want to hear what other anons think.
>We don't need so many homing items. Red gloves are fine, green gloves and shuriken do not need homing. Let green gloves bounce around (can home if you have the Big Glove Gadget), shuriken can auto-travel down the middle of the track and despawn after a set time.
>Weights need to go. It's just another reason to surf and is a dead item to anyone who actually receives it. Disrupting 1st and 2nd place while you are in 10th is not helpful. King Boom Boo is a much better frontrunner-target item, we don't need two of them.
>Items that home should not follow you into the air. If you jump off the dunes near the end of sand road, a targeting item should fly under you, not keep chasing you into the sky.
>On-hit items should remove 30 rings, not 50. This is a direct buff to the 130-ring gadget, but that's fine. It's also less frustrating in general.
>Drill Wisp minimum duration MUST be lowered. It lasts too long if you smuggle it to the top placements and is completely uncontestable in its current state.
>On the other hand, last place items need to be changed. No one should be getting a single Boost Wisp in 11th place, remove those from the lower place pool entirely.
>Too many catch-up items are allowed to exist at once. I have seen literally (I counted) four Monster Trucks and three Drills barreling down the final stretch at once before. That's complete nonsense.
>Triple gloves should be added to the normal item pool, but not available below 3rd place.
