It's... unpolished. I like the game for what it is and put something like 200 hours into it, but nearly every atom of the damn game feels like something they implemented and just forgot to do a balance/polish/bugfix/proofreading run on it.
>science weapons are a cool idea, but most are too gimmicky to use, or they just suck
>the slowdown mechanic sucks ass unless you build for it
>the dash mechanic sucks ass unless you build for it
>there's an easy-to-trigger, easily repeatable softlock in the first ten minutes of the game that's never been patched
>all the companion quests are short and empty, minus Parvati, who has the opposite problem and she's literally a self-insert for one of the writers
>the ability to stuff food and meds into your stimpak thing is too much of a gimmick to be worth it outside of boosting healing
>99.9% of shops are just loaded with vendor trash you'll never use
>most armor looks intentionally shitty and there's no vanity system (this is worse considering all your party members have custom clothes that get overwritten easily
>the injury/crippling system is a cool idea, but like 95% of the possible injuries are so bad they're not worth the perk points, and a few injuries are so hard to get on purpose (for "roleplay" reasons) that it's baffling
>99.9% of smart/powerful people are women, 99.9% of dumb/weak people are men
>weapons with debuffs don't debuff unless you're in the slow-mo mode

Yeah, it's a free weapon you can find in ""Rick Sanchez's"" lab right after leaving the first map. The higher your science skill is, the smaller the enemy gets. It's primarily just a gun to debuff things with rather than kill, though.

To be fair, it's the fuckin' plot of the game that everyone's stupid, both the good and bad guys, the rich and the poor, the hungry and the fed.
