I'm using it as a buzzword here, since it's not just one thing that I look for. What was the artist trying to do with this image? Does it create a convincing sense of setting? Can I read into the character's intent? Is there anything else that the artist is doing that's creative or worthwhile?

Basically, I'm screening for if the artist is actually drawing the character from a place of love and understanding of the character, or if it's just engagement bait or a masturbation aid wearing the character's clothing. Even for stuff I don't save, looking at art this way gives me a deeper appreciation of it.
