There's your issue, Halo itself is not part of the beach vibe, whenever we used to have beach nostalgia threads 10-15 years ago Halo itself was never posted, it was a very recent addition to these threads

Like I said the beach vibe in these games was tropical and exotic and came from real world inspirations, whereas Halo's was just wallpaper-y and contextless oceans and skies, that does mean it's closer to the later "Frutiger Aero" aesthetic which could be what's confusing you
