Finally watched those 90s Addams Family movies, some random thoughts:
>Don't mind that Fester is Gomez's brother now, I actually prefer it since he already felt like his contemporary in the original series.
>I believe that this was the first time Thing was portrayed as a severed hand, good change.
>Wednesday and Pugsley are probably the most changed characters, with Wednesday being the older sibling now, and closer to the modern interpretation of her as a precocious no-nonsense goth girl, and while Pugsley is more obviously mischievous, he might actually be the most "normal" member of the family now by comparison.
>This Wednesday really feels where the Netflix series mainly took inspiration from, I could see that Wednesday pulling something like what this one did at camp too.
>I'm mixed on how Fester is characterized, at least in the first movie, where he's first presented as "Gordon", I really thought that the real Fester would randomly show up and then Gordon would have to constantly swap places with him or something while trying to kill him. Didn't feel like they properly set up the twist, I was worried for a while that "Gordon" would just replace Fester instead of being him with amnesia.
>I do like him better when he finally becomes Fester, but then in the second movie he's mostly awkwardly flirting or being controled by that serial killer that it's hard to properly see the real Fester. At least he did the lightbulb trick lol, though I wish we got to see him use his electricity gimmick more.
