>also i think thats a zodiac sea-chron but i cant find the exact one, do you know?
No idea, my dad gave me the watches except for the garmin which I bought from a coworker for 50 bucks.

>i dont mind changing how i look, but the idea that the people in my area who i've known for decades will see me change how i look mortifies me.
It shouldnt, I bet theyll be happy to see it. I ran into my friend after buying some new clothes and he just looked me up and down with a quizzical look and complimented the clothes.

>but you are pulling it off better than i am
Thank you. I just gave chatgpt a look I wanted to try and the stores I would go to and it recommend several outfits. Then I tried them on, asked hos they fit as well as texted my friends to get feedback while I was in the changing room. Im sure if you try, youll have success too!

>i've basically just woken up from a 30 year "i dont give a fuck what i look like" coma(i have coasted on my height and personality) and realised that i actually kinda do care what i look like and would like to put more effort into having some amount of style
Im also in my early 30s actually. This is how I usually dress, maybe with jeans and beat to shit shoes.

>i have been lurking here to try and see if maybe getting into jewelry first and then having that influence my clothes would be easier
Im new to jewlery too actually. What got me to try dressing like this is that I bought soms long sleeve compression shirts to hide my tattoos in japanese gyms and ended up liking the athletic wear look and just rolled with it for some new outfits. Just think about what you like and try some new stuff out and get feedback from family and friends. Good luck and try to have fun with it.
