>honestly bassists dont get enough credit
I have heard they tend to be underpaid sadly.
>i think it would benefit greatly if you added a part which is faster than the rest
Back when I made this I was still struggling to playing fast/effiecent due to too much tension when playing. I'm having to limit my creativity to what I'm able to play unless I start editing guitar audio heavily which kinda ruins the point of adding in guitar recordings for me.
>how do you write the lyrics for these songs?
I usually go two ways about it.
1. Chords playing, adding lyrics/notes to the chords. Kinda like lyrical improvisation. Sometimes I write lyrics for premade melodies, but that's hard since you need to have lyrics that fit the syllable count to the melody and also make a coherent meaningful sentence.
2. I write the lyrics first, then chords that fit the feeling of the lyrics then I add a melody that has note count that fits the syllables in the lyrics
In either case you also want to aim for most of the sung notes to be on the underlying chord or else it sounds bad.
