>Why the fuck are people trying to downplay and rehabilitate Hussie's image now?
Could it be that the idea he 'ruined people's lives' sounds fucking insane and hyperbolic? He ruined their lives? Irreparably? I mean, take that reddit post you linked to. I skimmed it and don't see anything resembling 'ruining' even one person's life, let alone 'multiple'. Can he just not be an unpleasant person to communicate with, a bit of a douche to the people he works with, and really bad at managing projects?
The entire post can be summed up to 'Hussie lacks the discipline and foresight to see projects through and isn't very transparent, also he is annoying'. The litigiousness against Sarah Z was extreme, but in line with Andrew Hussie being an asshole. The actual legal overtures are probably the worst thing he's done, because those can have real consequences. Everything else is just frivolous and immaterial.
Take this line for example
>He often acted more like a disconnected ruler of his fandom than a grateful creator.
I'm sorry, how does a grown adult type this shit out and not feel a twinge of embarrassment? Why the fuck do I, behind my computer screen, even as someone who is pretty passionate about reading and rereading and thinking about Homestuck, give a single fuck how 'grateful' Andrew Hussie is?
