We have multiple long lived (or ones that can potentially live a while) characters by now and several of them have very different views on living a long ass time and not every perspective is inherently negative.
My personal opinion is living that long is only hell if you ONLY surround yourself with mortals which is less of an issue in R1999 because there's a few vampires just hanging out who are pretty normal people.
