It feels like they're trying to counterbalance all the absurd tanks they've thrown into all the leagues by making the meta more about spamming charge moves than overall efficiency. I'm not hopeful it'll keep Giratina or Clodsire in check, but I'm willing to entertain it. I'm not going back to regular tanking though, there's just no reason to play GBL any more than I already have until they add rare candy XL to the normal track.
