I planned to, but had no fitting ideas for it.
Started to write a story where the MC's former high school friend dies in shady circumstances. Then an evil god (who's not really evil) from another world offers to help MC become a necromancer and revive the dead friend if the MC helps the evil god return to rule his original world. But there are already a billion necromancer isekais out there, so I gave up on it.
Before that, I was working on an idea where the protagonist is a native of the fantasy land, who meets the isekai'd hero. It's never directly mentioned the character was isekai'd and I wanted to show how absurd the asspull superpowers would seem from ordinary people's pov without any context. But that didn't fit the requirements (MC's roots should be established in reality).
I had another older idea about private military companies going through teleportals to farm dungeons in another world. But the style and prose were too grimdark and violent for the tone of the contest.
There was another old draft too which I thought about reworking for this, but it was too long for the contest. (They want a clear ending within max 80k words).
Slopping is hard.
