No, they have really interesting characters too, but they can be outshined by some of the side characters and especially the villains. The relationship drama was only part of the first season. My biggest issue with the show was the lack of team avatar dynamics. Each member of Aang's team had a unique relationship with every other member. In LoK, they're mostly living their own lives and don't really feel like a team in the same way.
