This is a Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess fanfic that is one of my favorite fics ever, probably actually one of my favorite pieces of fiction period, fan or otherwise. It's one of the only pieces of literature I've ever encountered that makes extensive use of tastes and smells as descriptors, especially of things that aren't food. At one point in the fic a character notes that they can "taste the tang of magic" and that descriptor has stuck in my head for years because it's just so good.
Also, Link doesn't talk much in this fic, which is really cool and makes it feel like a real Zelda story.
Unfortunately, it's unfinished, and has been for more than a decade at this point.
