True but only in a reread context. If I can reread the story after reading it once, knowing the twist, and still enjoy it, then it's well written. But spoiling someone reading for the first time is robbing them of their only chance to go through the story blind - you're basically skipping them to the first reread. They'll still be able to enjoy it sure, but you're depriving them of the unique experience of not knowing as they read, something you can only get once
