Thought on some the underrated parts of the series?
>Attila
it was more of a bandaid to rome 2's gameplay issues, but it did a great job at it.
morale shock, tactics, cavalry, missiles, siege were massively better in it and worth to fight instead of just auto resolve
The campaign gameplay is kinda horseshit but the theme of playing survival mode in apocalyptic-like setting is pretty cool.

>Three kingdoms
Among the best campaign gameplay and mechanics in the franchise. Diplomacy absolutely matters, planning ahead of your conquest is important too. End game challenges of fighting equal peer and alliance is good enough, only held back by the character spam due to the retinue system.
Battle gameplay is fairly standard, but then it's crippled by overpowered hero units just like warhammer (and no, the record mode is an after thought. it's simply a downgraded version)
