In Sonic Riders, the rivalry centers around Jet challenging Sonic to be "one with the wind" as Jet supposedly already is. The difference between them is that Jet is the legendary wind MASTER, while Sonic lets the wind be his own master. Then, that's where the insecurity comes in.
