>further incentivize a playstyle change. I'm personally a fan of the modern game to a degree, but there's absolutely no way many new players are getting into YGO when it's so needlessly fast. I've already mentioned this before, but Master Duel had massive potential. It came out unannounced with very little marketing, aside from a trailer or two, and yet it still managed to pull in an average of 180k players on PC alone in the first month which is genuinely insane. It's just that 90% of those players immediately got filtered by the game and then the retarded ass fanbase, instead of helping people out to learn the game, immediately went with the namecalling and shitting on returning players for being yugiboomers or whatever. The recent wave of archetypes are a good start, and it seems to me like the speed of the game has vastly changed for the better in comparison to when I left, but there's still a long way to go in simplifying it to make it seem appealing to the average joe
>implement set rotation or find another way to make the game more accessible to casual fans since that's the bread and butter of every game and we're currently in basically the Halo era where the game is kneeling to comp players for the most part which doesn't make it seem appealing to anyone else. That seems to be the trend most games are following nowadays since everyone wants to be the next fucking e-sports hit or whatever, but at least shit like CSGO and League of Legends still has tons of appeal with casual fans, whereas this game ultimately just feels very constrictive nowadays if you aren't either playing meta/rogue or building your petdeck to be asscancer so that it can actually do something against the meta/rogue or other asscancer petdecks
