I sort of wonder why some of the higher-effort authors don't do this already. Italics, with his book-length histories, never really strings them into the structure of his choices or plays with a sense of time as far as I can remember. In almost all CYOAs, choices are made from a sort of superposition. It would be good to see deeper branching choices, especially ones that hint at the world beyond the CYOA proper
