A good part of the problem is the fact that most companies now are open capital companies that have "investors" instead of one or more owners, or they're owner by some larger (((corporation))) and thus the company itself is not run by the owner(s) by what is essentially a liason. People that work any type of upper management positions are the ones that suffer the most with this, they have to deal with a huge amount of bullcrap that has nothing to do with providing the intended service or making money.
