China has constructing a 610 km2 solar installation on the Tibetan Plateau to put that in perspective, that’s an entire Chicago-sized patch of land converted into a single energy project.


This isn’t just “some power plant,” it’s a sovereign demonstration that Beijing can reorganize entire landscapes at will. The type of megaproject no Western democracy could even permit, let alone complete.
