I've been playing various gacha from 2007 onward starting with S4 League, I've been dipping my toes into a lot of games, most of them dead now and while sex appeal was always "a" factor, it was rarely ever "the only" factor as it has become lately with a lot of games.
I like Umamusume because it does not go the Blue Archive / Nikke / Girls Frontline route of being the X-Coomer game. The gameplay loop is fun, the math behind it all is a science onto itself apparently and the roguelike-lite aspects keep me engaged long enough to do my 3 runs per day.
I dropped Blue Archive after playing it for three years because the (you) pandering was way too fucking hard while committing to nothing, the anime was garbage and it was 100% fan wanking giving just a single unit 3 alts. The weekly raids and high score chasing for platinum was fun and building teams was also pretty fun but you can only fight a huge ass chicken and critfish for so long before you get bored. I dropped Girls Frontline after playing it for 7 (SEVEN!) years because GF2 is a total fucking mess of a gameplay loop that does not keep you hooked at all, the (you) pandering feels unnatural, I mean they literally write male characters OUT of the story or make them so andronygous they can just say "oh its a female ackually" so chinks dont have another sperg out. The feet and pantyhose fetishes that game peddles is also very aggressive and the fanbase only wants HK416.
To be fair, the (you) pandering is also strong in Uma but the gameplay loop sort of eases the burden of the pandering as every Uma is trained in a vacuum more or less and not all of Tracen is trying to suck your dick because you happen to be the only male in a 1000km radius as the anchor point of the entire story.
