I might catch some flak for this, but I think the story summary does a better job of explaining what’s going on than the actual dialogue.
Like the scene where Polyxla, Calypso, and Gnaeus wanted to meet Kephalos. You can tell they’re former Chrysos heirs just from the context. But their conversation feels awkward, like they’re trying to explain who they are to the (You) the player in a clumsy, roundabout way.

Then again I'm still in 3.2. Maybe it gets better in 3.3-3.4
