No playable character in this game will ever have a confirmed romance, so it's a waste of time and energy to argue over it. Best course of action is to either take what you're given or move to something else, and either way, it's your call on whether or not you engage with portions of the fanbase that push things you don't like. The way I see it, Mihoyo ramming in fujobait and boosting Phaidei searches on Lofter is a pretty clear indicator that they want fujos to imagine Phainon and Mydei in a relationship, and the ship appeals to me, so I oblige. I might catch some flak for this, but I think the story summary does a better job of explaining what’s going on than the actual dialogue.
Like the scene where Polyxla, Calypso, and Gnaeus wanted to meet Kephalos. You can tell they’re former Chrysos heirs just from the context. But their conversation feels awkward, like they’re trying to explain who they are to the (You) the player in a clumsy, roundabout way.

I don't know, I don't really like Phainon's gameplay. If you don't kill everything in single ult you end up with no SP to properly do next rotation and since a lot of his power's coming from running sustainless team you're at risk of someone dying after which is the long run happen for sure thanks to powercreep and being unable to finish in 1 ult.
