stakes were real
character death's felt note worthy and emotional

only for them to give part 2 to one of the worst writers they had on board and said writer proceeded to turn part 2 into another wank fest for their favorite servant while retconning alot of stuff from part 1 or straight up having some of the villains act retarded compared to how menacing they were in part 1

it's why zilu faust is so strong.
