PCs have to justify their development costs, too. If a PC sells like shit, it gets dumped. My point is that Steam hardware doesn't seem to be made to make money. Maybe at some point in the future Steam hardware becomes popular enough to make money on its own, but right now it seems like its heavily subsidized. Which is fine, Steam can afford it. But Steam hardware hasn't achieved the mass market popularity necessary to be solvent on its own.
