Nothing I said even hints or suggests that I am treating them like half of the discussion so, please don't misinterpret or strawman me. Let me be clear: I have simply seen so many of these threads come and go with the same arguments and points. Complaining feels good and cathartic but very little comes out of meta threads. You have an active choice in what you do and how you contribute and for some reason it feels harder for people to exercise this choice than it does to make threads like this. We can sit here until bump limit and pontificate about culture wars, the state of things, moderation, every single aspect, nitpick, clever and dumb point until the cows come home. And we will just end up back at the point I just made about posting something better. If you honestly believe that something new will come out of this thread, then please englighten me, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and lurk and see what happens but when the thread is gone, just remember you can try what I said.
