If I remember FFTA's story right being stuck in the book is actively harming the people who don't want to be in there, it's causing his brother to become a dictator who refuses to listen to anyone, it's giving his friends vast senses of entitlement ruining them as people, and it's refusing to face the reality of your situation and deal with it.
