This is something I've noticed with a ton of slice-of-life indie shows, especially ones involving wagies, furries, and/or the early 2000's. Jokes often come out in extremely unnatural and forced ways. There's no banter, no chemistry, so they deliver some one-liner on the level of a mediocre newspaper comic. I've also noticed many of them barely even have any jokes. They meander around a lot and just waste time with pointless exposition and filler. A lot of them could be trimmed down a bunch.
