I agree it's not the place to discuss it in depth, but I just wanna say it's just gonna work like that, man. As a professional artist, I can tell you it's not a tool like the others. It actively takes control away from the artist and degenerates skill. It doesn't exercise any of the skills involved in making art.
>A skilled digital artist may very well have a tough time recreating their best art when doing it physically, that doesn't make them any less of an artist.
A skilled digital artist will be able to draw stuff traditionally just fine. The skills of anatomy, gesture, composition, etc, are all the same. If you can't draw something without tools, then you're not a skilled artist.

So as to not just shit up the thread with off topic stuff, I wanna mention I've been trying that game some anon mentioned a while ago, 僕の彼女とヤッてみる? I'm playing the latest version. 1.05, and it's still mega janky, with shit constantly breaking and some checkpoints being almost impossible to get through, but damn if it still is exciting. Even with these low quality assets and writing and dumb gameplay, it still manages to be hot. It just keeps reinforcing in my mind how much room there is to make great NTS experiences, even if you have little art skills. I would absolutely play some koikatsu game if it was halfway decently written. Easily more exciting than AI slop.
