In Undertale I could understand not liking him (you'd be wrong, but still), in Deltarune he gets shit on so hard for unknown and probably unjustified reasons in-game that I can't imagine how you could possibly not take his side. It's human nature to route for the underdog to succeed, and Asgore should be a perfect example of that.
