The mirror appears to those that are starting to or need to see themselves as they truly are. It most commonly appears to those with a distorted self image or a negative self image.
It brings with it self awareness and clarity to what actually lies inside of yourself.
To nurture it you need to practice honest self reflection. Sit with why you believe what you do, is it actually true, is this belief hurting you, challenge how you see yourself.
practice positive self talk also, for those that have negative or warped self images it is important to challenge the thoughts we have about ourselves and the way we see ourselves. It is a simple thing that makes a massive change, just countering these thoughts as they come up out loud shifts how we think overtime.

This appears to those that are afraid of exploring the unknown depths of their psyche. Those who are uncomfortable with what may exist in their mind.
A good step here is to start embracing your dreams and seeing what meaning you can get from them. We cannot talk to our subconscious directly but it sends us messages in our dreams. Journaling your dreams and what they could mean is a good first step.
