The Amplified design is a slight improvement, actually, though I still vastly prefer the original.

X is overly gaudy and complex, which is an issue I've always had with X-variants. Omegamon has a pretty simple and sleek design, while X has lines everywhere. Its eyes are way smaller, which I'm not really a big fan of. Overall, the entire design just feels a bit cold and oppressive.

I will say this though, it fits the Chronicle version of Omegamon perfectly. In Chronicle, Omegamon is a cold enforcer of Yggdrasil's will, lacking in either courage or friendship, someone who kills innocent Digimon just because it's told to. This design suits it.
