It's unironically in the top 10 bikes ever built in history.
For a mere few thousand dollars you get:
>A V4 engine mated to Gear Driven Cams, which not only sound unbelievable but make the V4 a bulletproof tank capable of 100k-200k miles with maintenance intervals
>yes really, you absolutely can get 200k out of them easy. Japan used them as police bikes for their reliability
>You get linked non-abs brakes, a perfect compromise between no gizmos and innovation. Only the rear brake is linked front is isolated like every other bike.
>00-01 specfically shares A LOT of 6th gen parts which keeps repair costs down and parts availability UP
>00-01 has an automatic choke, just a nice touch over a manual choke
>stock they are 120hp 60ft tq, with a delkevtic exhaust this bumps up to 130hp, 63tq because the manifolds flow straight rather than oem cross manifolds
>500lb wet flat, this is 30 pounds lighter than the 6th gens. Handles like a dream by staying planted in corners and doesn't get blown around by the wind
>no vtec, which if you like vtec cool. However the powerband on non-vtec vfrs is exceptionally smooth with torque everywhere while still retaining top end juice thanks to that V4 engine.
>Timeless design, ages like wine which I feel the 6th gen won't as the post modern design trends simmer down in time.
>throw a high can exhaust on and it's peak aesthetic
I strongly suggest one, no matter the vfr you invest in. Be sure to get one who's brake system wasn't neglected, they suck to bleed properly due to a hyper specfic factory bleeding procedure.
