>N64 players were mostly autistic or very spoiled kids. It was impossible to live with them outside of school.
Are you fucking kidding me? I was 15 when the N64 launched, and back then I owned an N64, Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation. I had all three, and I wouldn't call myself 'rich. But I did have a disposable income to buy stuff like this. Believe me, the N64 was the party machine of choice. I would bring that thing over to all mt friends houses, I would take it to parties. I had 4 gamepads and games like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Super Smash Bros. Honestly, I never had any of the Mario Party games. But whatever games I didn't have, I would go to Hollywood Video to rent. The system was durable as fuck, did not use CD's so there were no loading. carts were hard to break. Image related was closer to what owning an N64 was actually like.
