But I do wonder... how much overlap do the Dexter's Lab and FOP fanbases have? They are very similar cartoons. Around the time Dexter went to shit is the time FOP began airing. Both shows had creators that really just wanted to distance themselves from it (Genndy was ultimately more successful, but he still reached the same endgame of hackery as Butch). Even the lyrics to the opening and closing songs had "Doom and Gloom" in it. And of course the similarities between the Chin verse and the Justice Friends verse which Hartman also worked on.
