They did had bare asses on the BD and streaming versions of MHA during the early seasons, the censorship only became extreme during the later seasons and Vigilantes probably because those are Disney Plus exclusive in Japan and Disney Japan straight up said that they demand anime adaptations be sightly censored for their platforms in order to have "Western appeal"

the most noticeable examples of censorship in MHA/Vigilantes would be how in the older season Toga had grey skin when naked in the TV version but regular naked skin in the streaming and BDs, now she has grey skin when naked regardless of the version you watch since every version is censored, other example would be Pop Start's design being censored so it won't show her ass unlike the manga

Too bad they censored Pop Step's bare ass in Vigilantes, the later seasons of MHA are also censored in home media, previously when Himiko used her powers she had a grey mud thing covering her up in the TV version but the BD version showed her asscrack, now she has the grey mud thing on the BD still and they no longer show bare female asscracks, I dunno if this is because those shows are Disney Plus exclusives in Japan or if the director just became a faggot
the studio had no problem showing the bare butts of characters who were canonically 14 years old in Soul Eater NOT, but now they even cover up adult women, I guess this decade made them gay
