So the situation is this
>am halfway through the cobalt seal cycle
>so far, 100% win rate on settlements, no deaths of any villager, despite coming close several times
>on a village that is relatively safe, not much can directly kill anyone here, winning is basically garunteed as I have high resolve, a mist piercer, and tool production for caches
>get complacent as I will for sure win within 2 years
>mist piercer shows not alot of promise in the glades, except an intresting place that has 3 treasure stags all right next to eachother in 3 small glades
>these stags run into the glades nearby and force you to open them within a set time to get their rewards, which you can either capture or release for different things
>have never seen 3 right next to eachother, and especially one of each type
>plan on doing those 3, then promptly winning
>have good fuel production and can make a ton of purging fuel to combat blight rot
>first time I'm playing on the prestige which doubles the effect of it
>I know from experience that 3 blightfighters are enough to clear 10-12 blightflowers easily each storm
>but there's a forest mystery that I forgot about which spawns 2 flowers for every year that passes after a certain hostility level.
>this means my 3 blight fighters now had to deal with 24 flowers, nowhere near enough fighters. You need more than 6 to be safe like this.
>rush build a new post to get 3 more, the help but it's not enough
>hearth is corrupted and 3 villagers die before they get the blight under control
>pause and sit in my failure
>considering whether I should reload. It's not like they were bullshit deaths, It was totally my own fualt for not paying attention to the forest, to hostility, and for thinking I was safe
>ended up alt-f4ing to go back to the previous season
>still paused on the game thinking if I should let them die the same way, so as to not cheat, or if I should cheat and build the blightpost earlier so they can safely take care of the rot
