Also newfag here looking for advice. I've thought about game mechanics a bit but I think I'm too retarded to put it into practice. From my understanding:
>support cards mean the most out of everything
>only support cards that boost stat bonuses while training or give good bonuses from their events matter
>stamina > power = speed (except sprints)
>wit and guts have some cutoff they need to be over to stop you from getting cucked but I don't know what it is (probably 350)
>inheritance is just some bonus they get at inspiration time so free stats
>friend training does jack shit sometimes and I have no idea why
>rolling rates are such ass that you can never count on actually getting anything you want
>star upgrades are so insanely expensive that you need to whale to get a single character their signature outfit
>RNG is xcom tier at every step
Correct me if I'm wrong or elaborate if I'm not quite there. Main problem I have is not being able to actually get decent returns per training. Even friend training on the beach episodes I'm getting 13 or so on the stat I've selected and I can't figure out why.
