Reading OPM feels a lot like reading some Silver or Bronze age shapeshit sheenigans
Except the story is not by any stretch actually willing to humor the "oh, I guess I could take down superman. What IF Batman just gets laser eyes from orbit, and that is the end of it.
And then the story has to deal with that.

The reason I write this
Is I think that the Muarata version is a lot more stock Capeshit. Its really willing to sit down that entertainment. With a slightly larger deviation for each new arc.
Or that Mob Psycho had the idea that the protagonist was willing to entertain it, despite being a living fly swatter
