It is needlessly complicated and frustrating dealing with settings and making sure your hardware is working properly.
Try hooking your PC up to a TV and trying to use it as a console replacement. Getting it to work on your monitor when you are using it as a PC and on your TV when you are using it to play games will make you want to throw it through a window with the amount of fucking around with display and audio settings you have to do to get it to work right. Adding a controller is also a pain in the ass.
PC gaming is complete garbage if you are looking for an easy pain-free gaming experience like a console. Pretty pathetic that they haven't made it work even in 2025.
