It seems like such a crazy difference to leave out.
I've read a lot of fantasy but never got around to GoT, was thinking I'd wait until it all comes out a decade ago but that's obviously not happening and I've had enough with retarded authors to lazy to write shit.
The only one I can forgive it's Scott Lynch since gentleman bastards books are basically self-contained. There's an ongoing story but you never really feel like it needs a conclusion
