I'm pretty happy with it. Falcoms cutscene direction has gotten a lot better and everything feels more seamless. The combat flowed nicely though I still prefer when the series was purely turn-based. I'm not really a fan of the voice acting in either JP or English but it's not a deal breaker. There's lots of little touches they added like characters actually holding their combat orbments while casting now or characters actually having little animations while they cook which showed that they really cared which is something I haven't felt in a Trails game in a while. The OST is the biggest surprise for me. It's almost exactly like the original but just with higher quality instrument samples which is exactly what I wanted since Falcom are pretty known for remastering their OSTs and ruining them. The PC port also runs like a dream which shocked me given that Falcom haven't made a PC port themselves in like 15+ years but thankfully they nailed it. Plus Estelle is still Bestelle. Based on the prologue alone I'd say 8.5 but I'm hopeful for the rest of the game which I wasn't really before.
