Scoring Book I anon here. I've said a few threads ago I'm gonna start working on weekend and I've been organizing materials and actually trying to squeeze out only the bare minimum score calculation needed while preserving intuitiveness (since I don't want to lie to the reader by hiding anything and gradually smuggling in new info as it can be pretty overwhelming, I'd rather come clean in the beginning with everything that is needed, mostly to prove how little actually is there to memorize).

Some facts:
There are only 27 unique point values and 12 supplementary values needed to be memorized to calculate every possible hand less than 5 han.
Out of these, only 17 unique point values and 8 supplementary values are required to calculate every hand less than 70 fu (both ko and oya, ron and tsumo). The rest are rare single use cases, like Saki's 70 fu 2 han hand from the first episode when she wins with a rinshan tsumo with a closed kan of jihai.

I'll try to organize the outline of the book to make it pretty straightforward to learn from it, starting with the most common hands and only going deeper after the reader has enough knowledge to start doing reps on their own.
That's it. I'm gonna become an OC maker and finally learn to draw. I just made a monetary commitment by buying a tablet, so there's no going back.
