IIRC I upgraded melt to 3 before even the first fight and it was still a pain, the initial rotation is just really bad this time. They're fairly weak characters, made even weaker by being trial versions if you don't own them, and they have no synergy with each other so making cope teams early is a pain, you're forced to waste good characters and even then it's scuffed if you don't get lucky.
