False. I've said plenty of games are slop. The difference is that a bad game is just a bad game. One bad apple in an amazing series. IDW is a fundamental misunderstanding of the entire series from the ground up. It's worse than just being "bad". It's consistently terrible and the lead writer does not enjoy writing actual, existing, Sonic the Hedgehog and stories for him and his friends.

They're not that complex. The original creators understood them. The original western writers understood them. The problem isn't the characters, it's that the writers hired to write them are incompetent. They can't write the characters so they write their own versions instead.
